1st Annual Pull-a-Pallooza!
We will be holding our first IWPA sanctioned competition of the 2011 season at
The Great New York State Fair!
On Labor Day, September 5, 2011 we will be holding the
Pull-a-Palloza weight pull competition.
This event will be opened to all dogs of any size, breed or age between 12 months and 12 years of age.
It will be sancioned by the International Weight Pull Association (IWPA) and according to their rules and regulations.
It will be organized by Lisa Mawson of Canine Culture Training Center and sponsored by Dog Daze Bakery in Syracuse, New York.

This pull is going to be open for pre-registration starting in July. Day-of entries will be allowed. However, if not pre-registered, exhibitors must pay $10 per person to get into the New York State fair. If you pre-enter, you will be mailed $3 exhibitor passes which will be asorbed by your entry fee. Please notify how many passes you will need. 1 pass per dog entry, maximum passes is 2. This is expected to be one of the largest IWPA entries seen in quite awhile. Maybe ever! We are trying to expose and make this sport better known in our area. We are expecting possible entries of 100+ dogs. Let's open the 2011 season with a BANG!

You will be receiving State Fair admission tickets with your entry. You will receive 1 adult ticket per dog entry, limit 2 tickets per household. Number of dogs entered unlimited.
Parking is $5 pay at the gate. The closest gate to enter the fairgrounds for you will be gate 10.
Children free.
Dogs must be crated when unattended, crate space available. Dogs are not allowed to accompany owners around the fairgrounds outside of the competition area. Please pick up after your dogs.
Tickets will be mailed to you soon after receipt of your entry.
Entries will be allowed the day of the event. However they bust be entered and weighed in. If you choose to enter the day-of, you will be subject to the State Fair ticket prices which are $10 per adult at the gate plus parking.
The nearest gate to enter the fairgrounds parking and exhibitors entrance is... Gate 6
You will pay $5 parking at that gate and then proceed to gate 10 exhibitor entrance. If you have pre entered you will give them your exhibitor ticket, if you are entering that day you will pay $10 fair admission per person. At gate 10 you should receive a pass to unload your vehicle, once in gate 10 with your car you will take a left at the Beef Cattle building and drive towards the second (smaller) Ferris wheel (on your right). There you will take a left and drive towards the Youth Arena to unload. Then you will take your car back out to the gray parking lot which is just on the other side of the fence from the Youth Arena. You can walk back in the nearest gate which is gate 9.
The weigh-in starts at 7am until 8:30. Judges briefing is at 8:30 and the first class starts at 9am.
Please be on time. We are expecting large a large entry and want to start promptly.
